Committing to The Sketch Book Project was harder than I thought. The fanciful idea of keeping a sketch book, like I did in college, was quickly overtaken by my very busy daily life. It was very easy not to do it, but my commitment would not be undone due to the power of my financial investment. How’s that for dedication? Documenting my life, from October through January, proved to be quite eventful thanks to many family members and the web that draws us close and binds us together. As many of us understand, in a very real way, our lives are not our own.

The Sketchbook Project is a global, crowd-sourced art project where participants from all walks of life are sent a sketchbook and have until January 15th to fill the pages and return it for inclusion in a traveling exhibition and permanent collection at The Brooklyn Art Library. Anyone – from anywhere in the world – can participate in the project.
